Every time you play a record your stylus is picking up tiny bits of fluff and dust. As you continue to enjoy your records, the stylus is pushing these bits of dirt and debris down into the grooves of your records, potentially causing damage. This can wear out the grooves faster and causes signal interference, resulting in reduced audio quality. Removing this grime and grit is therefore very important to both your records and your ears. 

Stylus gel is one of the simplest and most cost effective ways to improve the lifespan and sound quality of your system. It prolongs the life of both your stylus and your records. It also ensures the best possible signal transference and playback. The best bit? It's really quick and simple to use. It's pH neutral, contains no alcohol and, because it's a gel not a foam or a brush, it is completely free from any fibrous material. This means there's no risk of damaging your precious stylus or cantilever. The gel never comes anywhere close to the cantilever, so the delicate glue there won't be affected.

Instructions

Unscrew the pot and position the gel underneath the stylus at roughly record-playing height, then gently drop the tonearm down. Allow the stylus to rest on the gel for a second, then just lift the tonearm back up and your stylus is instantly free of dust, dirt and debris. A quick glance at the gel and you'll see for yourself what's been left behind; it can be surprising how much gunk it removes!

Keep the cap screwed on between uses and it will go on cleaning, providing hundreds of hours of listening pleasure. After several uses you can rinse it under a tap to clean it and let it air dry before using it again.
